Problem / Opportunity
In transfer operations the day changes while drivers are on the road. They need assignments, routes and status updates on a phone, coverage isn't guaranteed, and the office needs to know what's happening.
Our Approach
We designed around a driver's working day: today's jobs first and few steps per status change. Actions are kept encrypted on the phone and sent once the connection returns, so a dead zone doesn't stop the work.
What We Built
- Assigned jobs, map and route view, and status steps
- Call and WhatsApp shortcuts, plus a passenger nameboard
- Cash handover and incident reports
- Push notifications
- An encrypted offline cache and action outbox
- The captain API on the platform's backend

- React Native

- Firebase Cloud Messaging

Current Status
Engineering case study, early version. Our work covers the field app and its API; the wider Compass panel (reservations, dispatch, pricing and accounting) is developed and owned separately. The app isn't listed on the App Store or Google Play, and we don't publish operator or usage details.
